The reception party for China Food Expo 2011 was held in Nanyuan Hotel on the evening of November 30. On the next day, this greatest event in the food trade of China opened in Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center.

Attendants to the reception party include Zhang Zhigang, Vice Director of the Economic Commission of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of China Federation of Commerce, Gong Zheng, Vice Governor of Zhejiang, Jiang Ming, Vice Chairman of China Federation of Commerce, Du Tong, Vice Chairman of China National Light Industry Council, and representatives from famous enterprises like NetEase, Zhongbei Holding Group, Wal-Mart and TESCO.

The expo is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, China Federation of Commerce, China National Light Industry Council and Zhejiang Provincial Government. It is organized by Ningbo Municipal Government and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce.

Zhang Zhigang said, the food industry is a pillar industry of the national economy and it plays an important part in securing supply, stabilizing the market and improving people's livelihood and health. He expressed his belief that the expo would be a great success and make its positive part in promoting the food safety, the prosperity of the food market and the economic growth of China.

Speaking for Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, Gong Zheng expressed his warm welcome to the guests home and abroad. He said, with its theme "Promoting the value of the participating enterprises and the development of the industry," the expo would for sure benefit the food industry of Zhejiang, promoting its creativity, transforming its development pattern, constructing its famous brands and accelerating its globalization.

Ningbo government officials Wang Yong, Liu Hanquan and Shi Xiaoguo attended the party.
