Ningbo Embankment promises to be Ningbo's largest open public park with such facilities as basketball courts, tennis courts, football grounds, entertainment facilities for children and an underground parking lot.

With the removal of some factories along the riverside North Jiangdong Road, there have appeared some landmark buildings like Ningbo Book City and Hengfeng Creative Square. Now, Ningbo is building an embankment behind these buildings.

The embankment is an important area in downtown Ningbo for its important role in promoting the image of the east bank of the Yongjiang River. The embankment starts from the Yongjiang River Bride, about 3,150 meters long 28 meters wide, with a greenbelt as wide as 60-100 meters. "This park will be the longest and widest open public park of Ningbo," said an authority of the project.
