1st Cicheng Red Bayberry Picking Season to Start
| | The first Cicheng Red Bayberry Picking, a tour project, is to start on June 16. To promote this tour project, Jiangbei District Tourist Administration 10,000 copies of the pamphlet for the project and handed them out in Shanghai, Cicheng Town, highway toll gates, hotels and tourist agencies.
The sites for red bayberry picking are Yijing Orchard, Gongyou Village and Nanlian Village.
At present, the plantation for red bayberry in Cicheng reached 10,000 mu, including over 600 mu of standard demonstrative orchards. The town has three trade marks for the red bayberries "Cicheng", Mingliang and Fanshan, of which, the Cicheng Brand won the title of Ningbo Top Tem Famous Fruits in 2007 and in 2008, the brand won the first prize in the Henghe Cup Top Ten Red Bayberry Contest. This year, the total output of red bayberries in Cicheng is estimated to be 1.5 million kg.
