Ningbo to add 10 bus lines in 2010
| | According to a meeting on the city management held on December 18, in 2010 the city management of Ningbo will concentrate on the construction of the civilized city, and with the goal of managing the city to the satisfaction of the people, the city will make great efforts to improve the infrastructure, solve the problems concerning people’s livelihood, and make the city management standardized, and more practicable, with greater emphasis on the long-term effect and the concern of the people.
The city will optimize the public services, giving priority to the supply of quality water and public transport. In the next year, the city will open 10 new bus lines, adjust 20 bus lines, and add 400 buses. The city will build 8 bus stations as well.
In the next year, a number of gardening and afforestation projects will be started, including the projects of Baojiahe Park, Shengfeng Park, the green belts of the major entrances of the city and the green belts along the railway in Haishu District, as well as the green belt on the Tongtu Road in Haishu.
The infrastructural projects to start the next year will include the side walks of Xinhe Road, North Yongfeng Road and Qinglin Road, and the expansion project of the South Sewage Water Treatment Plant.
